Pale salmon pink in colour, beautiful to look at and even better to taste! An intense floral bouquet, the nose and palate are met by playful aromas of strawberry, watermelon, cranberry and fresh-cut grass.
The Maccario brothers believe that the clean, healthy Barbera fruit should always have the loudest voice in the final wine. Refreshing but modest with a backbone of acidity supporting a round mouth-feel and velvety texture. The dry and balanced finish leaves the palate feeling clean and refreshed.
Lavignone Rosato’s bright aromatics and dry finish make it ideally suited to a wide range of dish incorporating fresh and seasonal products, particularly fresh vegetables and tomatoes. Pasta or bean salads, baked Sea Bream with coconut rice or Asian cuisine, this Rosé is very at home.
James Suckling.com Score 91. ‘Red apple rind, red guava peel and hints of cream. Shows good balance of acid and fruit, as well as plenty of floral notes throughout to boost the medium body with pretty acidity. Drink now’.
