After a long wait trying to source a Vermentino that tasted as those in Sardinia did, we are proud to introduce you to Ala Blanca from Parpinello winery.  Meaning ‘white wings’ – the cry from the children as they watched the seagulls fly over the vineyard, this is a classically rounded, balanced and very quaffable white, perfectly happy on its own or with food.

The main white grape cultivated in Sardinia it is presumed to have Spanish origins.  Straw yellow in colour, fine aroma with hints of yellow fruits, a fresh acidity and an aftertaste of bitter almonds.

Perfect as an apertif, ideal and elegant accompaniment to fish dishes, seafood and white meat.
